Bark Sequelo is a followup game to my first hobby project, "The Tragic Tale of Bark Scruffalo." In this game, you are once again playing as Moses, and are trying to get your dog back from the creatures that stole her from you.
Unlike the first game, I wanted to make something that could run on actual Game Boy hardware. Creating backgrounds and sprites that fit in such a limited budget was very fun and unique challenge. I used GB Studio, an amazing piece of free software, for all the logic and scripting. Backgrounds, characters, and animations were created in Asesprite and Pixaki, and were worked and reworked until they fit in the miniscule amount of memory.
The game is available to play in your browser, or you can download it to play directly on your Game Boy hardware or Analogue Pocket.
